KOLKATA: It is said that love is blind and people can find love in the most unexpected places despite all odds.

One such unique love story has emerged from a prison in the Indian state of West Bengal, where two murder convicts fell in love with each other while serving their sentences and got married.

According to Indian media, Abdul Haseem and Shahnara were complete strangers to each other before they met in a West Bengal jail, where both are serving sentences in separate murder cases.
Abdul Hasim and Shahnara soon became friends in prison and this friendship turned into love after which the couple informed their respective families of their intention to marry.

Last Wednesday, Abdul Hasim and Shahnara were released on a five-day parole for their marriage, after which they were married according to the Muslim Act in East Burdhman.

The couple have little time to themselves as they will have to return to prison after parole ends, with the newlyweds saying they will start a life and family like everyone else after being released from prison.
