Yijing: Chinese organizers start extorting money from football fans in the name of Lionel Messi.
According to media reports, Lionel Messi will attend the friendly match between Argentina and Australia at the Chinese ground, but the organizers have set the price of tickets for the match at US$680.
Messi will be a guest of China for the first time after 2017. This friendly match is scheduled for June 15 at Workers Stadium with a capacity of 68,000 fans. Australia and Argentina also competed in the pre-quarter final stage of the Qatar World Cup last year. However, the South American side won the match 2-1.
According to Chinese organizers, tickets for the match, priced from $82 to $680, will go on sale in two phases on June 5 and 8.
