Tel Aviv: Israeli President Isaac Herzog has strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, saying that he cannot remain silent on the desecration of the Holy Book.

According to the World News Agency, Israeli President Isaac Herzog called the desecration of the Holy Quran a shameful act and said that burning the sacred books of any religion is a serious crime.

The Israeli president added that insulting the holy places of any religion is also a serious crime. In no case can we remain silent on the desecration of religious books and holy places.

Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog has called on the international community for urgent attention and concerted efforts to prevent religious tolerance, hatred and violent incidents.

It should be remembered that the extremist leader in Sweden staged a protest outside the central mosque on the day of Eid al-Adha, in which he dared to burn the holy pages of the Holy Quran.
